Hi Paul, Yeah, dust. The little Sony I used for this shot should have been called "the Kirby". It really turned me off of getting another Sony.
However, their new 10 megapixel Alpha 100 DSLR looks to address just this issue with a dust repellant coating on the sensor and a shaking action that cleans the sensor every time the camera is turned on.
I kind of like using the underdog.
Oh well, already committed to the D80. Never had a Nikon before, that's gonna be weird.
