Hi Meigy, Photography is expensive but you already know that :-) Just a tip, don't scrimp on the tripod... Get a good one (bogens, gitzo or a velbon CF), don't get the small one, it won't hold the lens and body stable enough. you won't regret it. For your D50, you might also want to get the Nikon remote shutter for about $15 I think. For those slow shutter shots - will help you on the moon shots.
Hi again Jinggoy,... Thanks for stopping by and your great comment/critique. Yup,...I am on the roll and really do enjoy this lense, since it has the capability for macro shot. I did not use tripod for all of my flowers pictures, except for my "aRcH" and last nite attempt to shot at the moon. Steady handheld is hard because it's heavy, so my latest flowers images were taken in my lil studio with . I have yet to buy a small tripod :-), so I placed the camera on the other table. Take care, my friend.
Hi Meigy, I like the composition- the V framing the bud- placing the V slightly off centered and filling the top corners, well seen. You may want to adjust the curves/tones on the violet bud to make it stand out better. Good job on this. Looks like you're enjoying your new lens. I hear it focuses close and works good as a macro.
