Now wait a minute there! I said "be careful" = you CHOSE to make it ominous. For ALL you know I meant, be careful . . . 'cause he'll steal your heart! Note his comment . . . he gets all the girls...... apparently it's a well warranted caution! LoL! By the way . . . I like the shadows well enough! :)

Oh, my fine feathered brother. Dissin' me once again to all the girls. You're just jealous and always have been since I get all the girls and you're just left standing in the shadows. I told you not to gel your hair.

Thank you Albert!
The colours are the result of cross processing and how the image was printed. This is the scanned imnage of that print. The studio in which this photo was captured, had strong lights on the white background paper to "blow it out" and focus only on the model. The reason she seems to sort of "float in the frame", is owing to a thin white cloth covering the lower part of her dress. The slight fading (blur) around the sharper part of image of the model results from my having used a spot soft light diffuser on my lens. These types of images are a lot of fun to create.
Thanks again for your kind comments, Aniko :)

Hi Aniko,
Nice capture of "bored". Nice the colors you chose and putting the image in white background with the nice suitable green square around it. Maybe, she is bored but anywayyou showed her as a kind of princess. A nice romantic very good photo. Compliments, my friend !
See you, Albert

Hi Doyle... if you look at my profile, you will see that I too am an "escapee"... I don't remember Hungary. I was born in the revolution and we were refugees. My Mother tells me lots of amazing stories though, and I am grateful. :)
Warmest Wishes, Aniko :)

Hungarian huh? Very nice! My Uncle (Tibor Szirte) was from Hungary and left (escaped) back when it was Communist. He had his parents come and visit on an occasion or two and it was an education for all of us. He was a great guy . . . lots of fun.

Hey Doyle :)
No probs! I didn't think you meant anything dark or sinister. And I am not being in any way "prejudiced" or whatever the word is, when I say this. I am Hungarian. I live in Australia. I retain both native tongues and sometimes I just don't "get" American "ribs".... (They need an embarrassed smiley I could insert here... lol!)
I do know (online) many Americans, and my stepson, (Australian born) has lived in America (around Chicago mostly), since he was around 5 yo. When he visited the last couple of times, it was a bit tricky for me to "get where he was coming from"... a big ROFL! :)
I am a manger of 2 MSN sites (not photographic... "other"), and one manager is from Florida living in Ohio. We get on famously and I love her dearly... and yet, sometimes we "misunderstand" one another. No biggy! It's all good. We have a good laugh!
You seem like a real nice person and thank you for putting this "where in the world am I?" person in the "light".
Cheers! Aniko :)

Aniko: I meant nothing dark or sinister about D. Arnold! I think he's great and we frequently kid around, tease and give each other a hard time for sport and fun. We call each other 'Brother' since we play around with each other as brothers might do. I was warning you he might be "a character" meaning he might tease you . . . but only in a fun way. He and I get along VERY well and have a fine mutual respect. I would never seriously say anything negative about him . . . since the World's a better place with him in it! (Shhhhh . . . just don't tell him I said so!)
:)

Hi there Doyle.
Firstly, thank you for your kind comment on my image. I wonder, are you not familar with cross processing? Way before photoshop, where we could get "mad" colours and efects, I experiemented with the process a lot and fell in love with it. When I can find labs that are willing to cross process film for me (they are few and far between these days, sadly, beacause I find cross processing so pleasing and would like to do more of it). There are many ways to cross process. It's a lot of fun! I always prefer it to photoshopping for certain subjects. Naturally, scanning the prints (or slides, as the case may be) can be a bit of a problem when my scanner is not 100% "happy". Sometimes, I find it necessary to add a little contrast and sharpening to a scanned print (in PS) and do a general clean up of the image, but I ilke to work as a "purist" as far as I can, unless I am realy going for a heavily PS effect. Then I assure you, I make sure people know the way i achieved the effect. I have nothing to hide. Art is art is art is art is art etc...
Secondly, I don't know what you mean re "Be careful with my brother Dave Arnold..." ???? Please explain. I find he is a very lovely person with considerable talent and I like him. We get on nicely, as I do with many others here in Usefilm. So again... ???
Thanks for taking the time to view my image and your comments are appreciated.
Warm Wishes, Aniko :)

Absolutely stunning Aniko! I love it. Be careful with my brother Dave Arnold . . . he can be a character (Trust me, I know) . . . but he's a good guy (hehehehee though it's often well disguised)!
I totally agree with him that the initial reaction was that this was heavily photoshopped! It's beautiful anyway to me . . . I'm a reformed purist! Still . . . it does show some considerable skill and creativity. Nice work!

Ah... house cleaning.. I have heard of such a thing... hmmm... lol!
Actually the scanner also needs a new sheet of glass. I do clean the glass but dust still gets caught in the little scratches. In fact, the whole scanner could do with a service.
Thanks for commenting on my bored princess. You might notice I enjoy the element of fantasy alot! :)
Warmest Wishes, Aniko :)

Fabulous in-camera work, my friend. I thought sure it was heavily Photoshopped. I notice that you seem to "clean up" a lot of dust from scanning. One little tip from one merry little housekeeper to another: glass cleaner. LOL
Best wishes, Dave
