Thanks for the info. I recalibrated my monitor last night and it made a huge difference. Here is a copy of the photo with a levels and curves adjustment. I made the adjustment yesterday as well but it came out muddy due to the lack of punch on my screen and the curves adjustment was made prior to placing in the frame so it didn't do much once cropped. Let me know if you like this better. I didn't go as dark on the wrist as you did... Steve

The moment I saw this portrait I had the same thoughts in mind as Clive C, so... needless to repeat his comment. Nevertheless the expressivity of the moment you captured is as strong and as beautiful as to make the image interesting, captivating and absolutely lovely.

Stephen, There is too much light on his right wrist, the facial tones, IMHO are too grey and there is very little modelling in the tones.
To adjust this, I used levels, then curves to give the result below.

Although there is a sad expression on this lovely face the capture of the moment is very great and so the lighting, details and contrast.

Well, I guess after reformatting and starting fresh with my PC I need to get some things calibrated. This photo is not near as dark on my screen as it appears once uploaded. I hope you still like it. Thanks, Steve
