About Boiler Bay is a point between Lincoln Beach, and Depot Bay...actually Depot Bay is only around the point .
It is a small park for spectacular views of the central Oregon coast line. I would love to hear your thoughts ....

Dear Michele,
You are sooo expressive in your comments, it certainly a value read! I have attached a pic of the shoreline just out of Sydney (south). It is volcanic rock with Sydney sandstone. But I CHEATED! I excluded the horizon from the frame to offset any tilting of the camera.
If you have to include the horizon, try to keep it as level as possible, and/or use PS as another reply to you suggested. If there is a tilt, it is better to have the waves rolling downhill or the MOTOR VEHICLE 'entering' from the SIDE of the frame.
Keep up the GOOD WORK and your inspirational comments, Michele, and take care.
JD

With keh prices fluctuate a lot, sometimes prices are very high so look for the low price and buy it.D50 is awesome for IR.

You are a mind reader Robbie... I was honestly thinking of a Nikon D50 . . . I don't mind used...
Right now I would not know the difference ! I will check out your keh.com site...sounds like a good place .

I am glad you told me about the D70 because I have a friend who got the D80 and was trying to talk me into that... and if I didn't know any better who knows what could happen.

I have more memory problems with my computer because of music.... and pictures....
I can't even use PS7 which I up-loaded only a few months ago and and I am on a dell ME . . . Oh + I had 'skype' ... too... so 'skype ' had to go.. Have you used it ?
Free phone calls international with pc ...or 1 cent a minute ..max $10 a month if you really yack internationally... check it out if not.
I used it for a very long time and plan to again when I get more RAM !!!!!!!! Always something to keep us going and moving on!

Take Care too ,
Michele~

No problem Michele,you are welcome.
Thinking about the Dimage7 for IR is good but a Nikon dslr would be so much better plus you could use it for other types of photography.Dimage7 auto focus very s.l.o.w.
and the colors will need boosting up in PS,if you don`t mind used check out keh.com but stay away from the D70 too many problems.Olympus E300 can do IR too.Googgle it and see for yourself.
Take care.

Thanks Robbie ... I agree on the tripod use... but you know how people just don't read the 'about' so much...

I even named a house the 'Slanting House' because it was soooooo obviously at a slant....
All I heard was here's how to fix that problem...

I like PS and love IR and all enhancement to a degree ... then at some point I just want people to see what is ....
Sorry for venting... I know you understand .
Thank you for getting back to me.
I appreciate it.

Michele~

Hi Michele..
If that is the natural level just say so in 'ABOUT',I had the same problem in some shots
and when asked about it I said that`s the way the place is.Because the shooting time for IR is long I normally used a tripod which I would strongly recommended for you to start using as the images will be much sharper.
Take care and thanks for the lovely comment.

We do have surfers in specific spots but this isn't one of them ! Yes, tooo trecherous.

Thank You for commenting on the waves rolling uphill ... because I do not know for sure what to do about this .

I have problems here in Oregon as nothing , no place, no where is level...

I was out on a point lower than the mainland and standing on top of a tall table but still could not make the waves level.. A tripod maybe for the sake of a level shot ? Would this be what You would do ?

I am in a dilema here in Oregon always having trouble with keeping things level because 'nothing' is level in Oregon ... nothing , not one foot of land ( ok one foot maybe )

Should I make it level for the sake of a better image or make it as level as I can so the world ( right ) and people can see that Oregon is a rolling state.. almost every inch of it ! ??

Thank You for your kind comment ... I am glad you liked it and hope you can help me with my dilema ?

Best Wishes,
Michele~

Looks like a busy bay, Michele. I love the trees on the other side of the bay. Do surfboarders ride there? It looks pretty treacherous from here. er..I think the waves are rolling uphill?
Good composition and dramatic effect,M.
Kind Regards

Thank you Robbie,

Gust@vo remarked about an incline towards the coastline , of which I noticed after he pointed it out. I have a problem with keeping things level. Because I was out on a point that was lower than my shooting POV I now see it tilted as well. I am not sure what to do in this case, any ideas?
If I used a tripod to compensate then it would not be 'what it is' ...It would be altered for the sake of a level image.
In Oregon nothing is level anywhere ...so it's a constant problem I deal with...just asking in general what you would do .

Thank You for your time.
Michele

Thank You kindly for your time and your comment Stan. I keep telling myself how lucky I am... I know it is very beautiful here.

My problem is it is also very cold here... more so it is the dampness that gets to a person I think...

BTW You happen to live in a very beautiful place your-self. I briefly looked over your profile and found it very beautiful !

Take Care,
Michele~

Thank You Gust@vo You are right ... I am out on a point and shooting in towards the coast which does make this image inclined towards the coast...Yiyiyiii! Thank you for pointing this out my friend... I need to always use the tripod .

Best wishes.

Bello y dramático paisaje, aunque me parece que el horizonte está un poco inclinado...

Un abrazo!
