About This very odd image was originaly shot on Agfa 160 colour film. Somehow, the original didn't "work" for me, although the young model's facial expression was exactly what I was after. So I printed the neg in B&W very flatly onto extremely textured photo art paper. Too flat and grey. I then scanned the print and "did the hokey pokey" in PS... lol.. I don't think many people will like the result, but I am almost satisfied with it. Almost..... It has a familar quality about it, perhaps like a grainy fading polaroid or polaroid transfer. What do you think?

Loved this shot; it seems that you cutted it off from a old magazine.
Beautiful art work.

Wow Dave!
Thank you friend!

Interestingly enough,I thought you would really dislike this. Well!!! :) Surprise!! I "know" the next one I post you'll "dislike".. infrrared and tampered with in PS... lol... Another version of "abandoned"....

Back to this image...
Wrong about the filter, hon... My hokey pokey is so simple... want to guess? LOL!
Sure, this image took a long time in "experimental stage"...I am not in any way an expert in PS. It is the "game of it" that makes my pulse race.... yum!
It thrills me that you like this image as I know you prefer "straight" stuff. You honour me. One day, I will post the B&W of this... it is not up to "MY style" though...I will post it for you.

Loving Best,
Aniko *if you wanna call me Ani as many of my friends do, you are wecome to...) :)

Okee-dokee, there Aniko. I am going to weigh in on this. It is you. Your "personal style". And I like it a lot. First off, the pose is awesome. Framed by the curtain and window, what a great model shot. Secondly, your hokey-pokey PS work on this is great. Looks like you also incorporated a half tone filter in this, giving it that "biscuit tin" look. I've never been succesful with that filter but looks like you have.

Bottom line, I wouldn't worry about how many people like this, I think it is great. I'd love to see this in a crisp black and white, too.

Best wishes,
Dave

I'm so pleased you see this as art, Shirley!
It really took so long to get it to this stage. I am working further on it. I love "playing" with images as you know, and have other concepts in mind for this one.

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful comments dear friend,
Aniko :)

Oh yes, Aniko, you've achieved a beautiful work of art here! I do like her sort of frustrated expression...much to see in her face...

Wow Leonie... yes and yes and yes! Indeed.. the old newspaper with a naive hand painted "feel" or "look". I actually have the textured art paper as I do hand paint many of my images that I've also hand printed. Thank you for your delightful insight and wonderful comment! I will see what happens with the "after"... heheh...
Warm Wishes my friend,
Aniko :)

I agree on the *biscuit tin* or maybe an old magazine... I do like the naive colouring... looks handpainted...

I would like to see what you come up with after the *almost* Anika...:)

Onie..

What an amazing thing to say, Gary!
Yes... that's it! It does have something "old biscuit tin" about it! :)
Warm thanks for your thoughtful comment,
Aniko :)
