An image to make us think... what more can ask for from photojournalism?

Great job with the B&W tones and composition. Truely natural expressions, un-posed.

You have a very interesting portfolio Leo. Very diverse!

A poignant image. I like the contrast in expressions between the individual in the foreground and the 2nd fellow behind him. It's certainly a gritty image of life on the streets (although in all honesty I've never had to do it myself).

Certainly, happiness is somewhat relative. I take if you've almost faced death, you almost learn to appreciate the little things which we take for granted. Still, I imagine the bottle which the 2nd gentleman from the front is holding isn't lemonade either, and that can help pass the time and perhaps dull the misery.

Mira mi otra pagina web, estan mas organizadas

Dear Leonardo

Tami and I are so taken by your two recent entries, "Sad [??] World" I & II

We are left with an emotional sense of sadness, hopelessness, and unfortunately pity for this group of destitute men captured so sensitively with the genius of your lens.

How can the world still be home for such poverty and desparate lonliness? Perhaps we have not advanced as far as our impudent attitudes have taken us? We think not.

A brilliant photographic statement of the realities of this world, and our need to address the true crisises of poverty, hunger, and desolation that still plague this planet......instead of all our fruitless wars that truely address nothing.

Respectfully,

John & Tami E.
San Francisco, CA

Sua leitura do mundo me comove.
THE BEST!!!!

Caramba Paulo, me arrepiei!!
Obrigado amigo!!!! Um abraço,
Leo

Hi Leonardo....I'm back again!
This is a wonderful monochromatic image my friend with great journalistic content. A true street scene of people that are happy enough but living at the lowest ebb of life. Well seen and taken my friend. My very best wishes to you.....Ray:)

Powerful shot, Leo!

The technique is really great: beautiful tones&light, amazing exposure and DOF. Good job!

The image is much better!

The happiness from our people is a example to the world; no matter the problems and difficulties, it is not difficult to find a smile... I don't want to complete with my politic opinions here (LOL, satiric LOL).

However, I like the different reactions I note on the picture: happiness, sadness, shyness(?) and indifference.

Great journalistic shot, my friend!

Do you work for a newspaper or have a published book? Your portfolio is a documentary!

Wishing you all the best,
Renato

Meu Deus!!!!
