The drakkar is ready and the navigator waits for the captain's commands about the course. ;-)
Keep well,

Thank you, dear Nick. Yes, I guess most of us has this urge to sail away from time to time, not to escape sth. but to look out for new horizons, especially us from the sailornations:-) Best wishes, Annemette

Thank you so much Annemette. Your thoughtfulness is so good for me! And I love the image and the title. It just feels so right. If it is OK with you, I will print it and take it with me.

A very special one, that combines many many well balanced elements. The washed out blueish of the sky seem to be the perfect background for the complementary orabge of the flower, letting it shine even more beautiful. And at the same time that washed out blue is the one end of the hue transition from grey over the steel blue of the sea to the sky. The white rocks over there supress any monotony on the background. And the whole background just blurry enough in order to show what it is but at the same time not draw too much attention with uneeded details. The plant and flower dominate "wisely".
This unsharpness is also suggestive in creating the mood of looking far away, forgetting where you are, travelling in thoughts in a ship that sails on beyound any horizon. Suggestive power indeed. And the flower becomes something like a trusted person with you can talk about that journey. Or even take the journey together with that friendly companion.
Very very nice work. On board and here we go!
Keep well and keep it up,
Nick
