I love this shot with it's array of bikes and great range of colours. Amazing depth to the shot and crammed with wonderful sharp details. I am delighted that you are enjoying the Nikon now and taking it all in your stride. I read the other day a comment from you that is so true.....some things ARE best captured on film even though digital is an amazing step forward. I find that sometimes I wish I had done as you have and retained a film camera. Well done to you my friend for a great trio of shots. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray

Well spotted, Matej! The narrow dynamic range of the D200 meant that sky was washed out, so I attempted to "burn" it in. I have gone over to CS2 and am feeling my way around. Quite different from PaintShop Pro... My lack of skill shows in the steppy gradation. The purple telephone lines are from chromatic aberration. If I shoot RAW there is a good way to eliminate this, but once it gets to JPEG it is virtually impossible to remove...

I don't think the camera did a good job here - the sky looks very unrealistic to me. Change of colour in three discrete steps, purple power lines... Does it always do that?

the clairity of the D200 really shows in your shots. Hey you managed to get the sky and everything! excellent. I guess you are finding ways to make it work for you.
