About Was trying out my little digital Nikon Coolpix 4500. Shot in Landscape Mode (a built-in mode for this camera).

Handheld it against my body and used the Coolpix "swivel" to compose. It was a nice break from my Nikon N80.

Phototoshop only used to crop in some, and frame. No other alterations.

Good shot, but composition could be better (more zoom on the willow and water f.i.)

I love this shot it puts me in a peaceful place. I agree with the hot spots though. I find that taking the meter reading from a darker area sometimes helps darken a scene or by using the exposure setting compensation helps. I find its better to have a digital picture turn out a touch darker than too bright as adjustments are more successful using an image editior. I really like the way the shadows play and the movement of the water. Beautiful place.

Rodney,

Nice shot, However It seems a liitle hot at the top. I'm not very familar with the digital world yet, (I'm still not familar with the auto focus slr world either). I do not know if you are able to adjust for the brightness, or to take this same shot when the sun isnt so harsh. Dont get me wrong. It is a lovely scene. I think the harshness of the sun pulls away from your shot instead of enhances it.

Later my friend,

Russ
