Hi Petros
No fear - i wish more people would take the time to offer critisism, so I take no offence, in fact-I thank you.
Light source was natural light (outdoors)...shot in a cooler box with...well lots of ice...

Hey Chris :-)

Your exposure is just fine! Everything is quite good in fact. I guess, what I'm trying to suggest is slightly better diffusion between your light sourse and your subject. If you tell me how you lit this, I'd be able to expand a little further.

Please don't take this as critisism by the way! I myself have lots to learn, and I wouldn't want you to think that I'm trying to pass off as an expert. God knows, we never stop learning in the world.

So, I guess what I'm trying to say is, I think that you have an wonderful image. Can you improve it? I think you can. But then, it would be an exceptional image. You have the concept. Just work on it a little more, and you'll nail it! It's worth the effort (if it wasn't, I wouldn't have commented).

Composition is excellent. I like what you've done Chris. I think that you could have controlled the highlights a little better, but overall this is a top notch idea/execution.

Chris, I love it! The high key really reproduce the freezing effect! I agree with Jan regarding the crop on the right side. Nevertheless, this picture has a real effect on me. Congratulations!

Chris-- First-- let me thank you for changing the title to the name of my favorite brand, Mr. Jack, which is easy to spot in your picture.
As an aside, I drink Jack neat, rarely iced and never mixed. That is my preference.
The picture is somewhat high key with the focus on the ice but the Jack definitley stands out. I think the photo would have more impact with a slightly different crop, perhaps lowering the top to cut a fraction off the top horizontal line of the bottle and showing a little more ice as foreground. Otherwise, IMHO, well done.

Ok Jan - Your point taken - drinking and driving should not be trivialised - this was not my intention. In honour of your "a sober moment" will change the title to something a little less.....'irresponsible?'
Perhaps your aversion to drinking and driving is what prevented you from commenting on the image itself...?
regards
Chris

Chris-- Just a comment on the title: I would have preferred to see the title "Nightcap"; I am strongly opposed to associating drinking and driving. Too many lives lost every year to let that go without comment.
Best Regards, Jan
