What are you saying? That noone will look at this beautiful photo???? :) BTW did you get my email at the pano address?
Truth be known, we got a freak cold front early last week where it snowed, gailed and was very cold...was the coldest we had experienced in over 100 years! So yes, you were right in part...but by Sunday we were "back to normal". Today it's meant to be 38 degrees...my kind of weather!!

I post here so not to let others laugh at my ignorance but here is the source of my information -
“Taken as i strolled to work the other morning, at the time it was about 4C and blowing a gale off the water so you can imagine how cold it was, funny thing is it is nearly summer in Australia, which BTW hit about two days later and is now a warm 36C. all comments welcomed”

Hi Sandra. Write to my email (panophoto@yandex.ru) and I'll give you the remedy to wipe out the autopano inscription over your photos. Remember what I've said about our soft... Valery

The view from your aunt's reminds me of Nova Gorica in Slovenia, sans the snow...brrr, snow.

Ok...I have just copied the link into my browser and am downloading as I type...THREE HOURS???? I know, I know the computer does all the work...imagine stitching 400 frames! Even if the computer does all the work, you had to have taken the 400 frames to start with! Will go down to the lake and take some photos but will have to wait for this rain to dissipate...even though we need it desperately.
By the way (btw)...you forgot to list English as a language!!! As for NZ...certainly was amazing...would like to go back again but in the meantime am looking forward to Italy next August...by then I should have upgraded cameras...and agree about the camera..some amazing shots can be taken with a disposable camera...I get annoyed when someone compliments a photo and assumes it's due to the type of camera you use...

I'll check out the view from your aunt's now too...btw, thanks for the great advice and tips!!

Hi, Sandra. Still angry with your camera? Please don’t! Any camera is good enough. What counts is the imagination, head is the main equipment of a photographer. And if you want to produce stunning vistas of that lake do go to autopano site (it’s here - http://www.autopano.net/beta), download the latest version and do them. The main rule is this – go to manual, shoot the brightest spot so that it not overexposed, then make as many frames as you wish. Overlap them by 50%. No need for a tripod or even horizon. Start with 2 frames if you like. The program’s interface is simple enough. And the program can forgive many mistakes of a photographer. It can correct even different exposures. And it is not RAM dependant, only hard drives’. I have not a very cool computer but yesterday I could merge 70 plus frames into a 340 MP image. Just for a test. It whirled for about 3 hours, but it did its job. The guys at the autopano site’s forum speak about 400 frames and 9 Gb pictures. Sure – they have high end computers. But even with a moderate comp you could do great sunsets. Two Frenchmen make this program and they go at a fast pace.
Well. I know Spanish and maybe some Hungarian. And I can read French.
My city is not that beautiful, sometimes it is simply ugly. It develops rapidly but it seems the city doesn’t have an overall town-planning project. People just buy the land and build what they like. But I hope I am mistaken. Valery

A beautiful child. And of course your NZ tour was very prolific. With such scenery you must go pano.

130 by 45 degrees, and 130 MP, that's from my aunts flat

Hi, like I said, THE COMPUTER does all the work, and it's only about 20 minutes of CPU buzzing while I watch TV. And my computer is not that up to date as I might wish. Valery

Oh my goodness! Is it quicker to sew a dress than stitch all these frames together??? ;)

Saluto, Sandra. Here is the full picture. It's 24400 x 5129 (125.1 MP), And one of the frames just for scale. Arrivederci, Valery

Hi, Sandra, that is a new program for me, just got it yesterday, but my head is spinning from it’s potential. Visit Autopano Pro site, have a look, it’s worth it. Valery

Hang on, I thought PS could do anything, hence my enthusiasm...that it can even solve world hunger..and you're telling me no??? I'm shattered!!

Well, Sandra, actually I thought about Autostitch or the Panorama Factory, but you talk about PS with such an enthusiasm and longing that I must confess - here, in Moscow, anyone! can go out to the nearest kiosk and buy full Adobe Creative Suite 2 with thousands of plug-ins for a trifling sum of 5 dollars (and for another 5 a high end 3D packet). A bit slow in submitting photos I'm afraid with several things "on the burn"..am itching to post some...have had to make do jumping on to have a look at the amazing photos submitted. I have in mind a wonderful place where I could possibly have some images to stitch...next time I'll go I may just give it a go. As for this picture...I think it was more interesting in real life than what this photo shows...a friend of mine looked at this 2 nites ago and mentioned a few tips..and had to agree with him...plus as he said the foreground is pretty boring..I was actually going to remove it! Your english is amazing! As for my italian - I have italian parents so it's great to be able to practise a little here!
Ciao

Hi Sandra. Your advice was a very wise one. Though I spent much time in trying to find a way to attach my fall to a Project. Failed. I did some B&W work and send it to a #50 project (Alternative perspective). Waiting for your pics. Where are they? And thanks for making me your friend. As for “hard stitching work” – it’s hard work for my computer, not for me. It’s very easy. Take your try, you’ll love it. Too small lens for a shot? No problem, Take three images and you are the boss! Dream of a 20 MP camera? Forget it! Take 5 shots and you have it. By the way is Italian your hobby or you have some European roots? About this image. I wonder why no one commented on it. It deserves it. Sure, levels are not perfect, but that can be corrected easily. Wilderness is what I like in scenics. Here we have it! Valery
