Indeed we always strive for something that is different than what we are or possess. In a way life would be better if people were content in their current position, but maybe this "built-in" desire is something that makes us develop, some intellectually and others mechanically etc.

Elementary question - do we always want to have what we can't have? Much like good old Data talking to Mr. Spock. "Isn't that strange? I, the perfectly logical android, try to gain human behavior. And you, who I admire for having it, are trying to reach perfectly logical behavior". But the point of touch is one! It is singular, no matter from what direction we approach it.
And thus, no matter from which orientation we might observe it. This is what makes all rotations of this image not so important. It is that sharply defined, and yet almost unreal point of touch.
A good idea to make it B&W, Annemette! It enhances the many directions that all end at the same point.
