About I have really struggled with composition on this shot. This is what I finally came up with. Suggestions are welcome and appreciated. The background where the shot was taken was not very photogenic, so I snapped a shot up above the subject into the trees and overlayed the background in photoshop.

Whatever you have done on this photo is perfectly mached with the subject. Francly, most of the authors does not have any idea how to make a final touch in digital images to make it a perfect shape, create catchy. Congratulations!!

Very effective shot. The pose of the bird is great. You have done a good job on lighting and sharpness. The background works well and does not detract from the main focus. The only thing I am not crazy about is the position of the tail dead center. I think your shot would be more effective with a tighter crop on the right.
