Before I had a computer, I would sometimes place two slides together in a 'sandwich' and have them rephotographed. The 'reeds' actually are bamboo.;) Thank you so very much, Doyle!:)

Wow Shirley. I don't get the terminology here about sandwiches. But I do know what I like and this is certainly one thing I like. The reeds have a bamboo feel to them and the color and very creative lighting has given the entire image an oriental feel of peacefulness. The moon makes a great accent. Certinaly a Favorite.

what really gets me is the blades of grass getting hit by the light almost feel like glass being lit up. They also have a cool sense of movement also.

Thank you again, Dave!:) No flash...the bamboo was backlit and I had the white nylon stretched over the lens, which caused the 'halo' effect.

Very differnet effect and interesting "sandwich". Curious as to whether you used flash on the reeds. They are so "blown out", which works very well in the image. Very eerie-like.

The bamboo was backlit, and I believe I used the white nylon over the lens when I photographed it, so it created a halo effect. The moon already had its halo from a thin haze of clouds.

Nice effect Shirley.
This one caught my eye because even from the thumbnail, I thought it might have been some kind of sandwich.
A little while back, I was fooling around with the digital equivilant of slide sandwiches. You might like this one.
