Indeed Shirley!!
And I am soon (today) to go to visit my niece who is very very beautiful and has modeled for me before. She has agreed to model again, so I am thrilled! We shall be discussing and arranging a photo shoot! :)
It might sound odd, but with Rashed's passing, I feel the urge to bring new life to portraits and photography in general, in his honour and also because it is such a worthy art.

Yes, Dear Shirley. He was a very good friend indeed. His passing makes my heart heavy... However, I will remember him with every photograph I make...
I am sure he would be sad if I did not keep on creating!

I have been frantically trying to catch up on replying to all the posts since I had been gone, so had not yet seen this photo tribute of Riny's to Rashed. Thank you, Aniko. I am so sad. I had no idea Rashed was ill, nor that he was so young. He was a good friend to me and so many of us here on UF.

No one knew here until the day before yesterday, Shirley. Rashed had a bad heart. Sadly, he was just 25 years old...

Somehow it is ironic that this is last portrait I posted before hearing... Rashed so loved my portraiture and especially the "eyes closed" images. He was always kind to me and gifted me with a closed eye portrait he had made. I will treasure it, as I will always treasure our friendship.
All who knew him as a friend, Riny, are sad I am sure.
Thank you for your kind comments on this portrait, that I dedicate to Rashed...
And may you also take care of yourself, Riny, and let us remember... and rejoice also! We have the honour of Rashed's true friendship!!!

I really don't mind the original, but it's a good if "same old same old" studio shot (in my opinion), and I prefer to make many of my images as "artistic" as possible. The model liked the original shot and kept it as a straight image for her portfolio.

I like the effect and I think it worked well. And the bottom line is rehabilitation of a photo you would not have liked otherwise-- so you turn it into a gem.

Wrong!!! The treatment to this really works, the pose and light is beautiful, and as the title states, 'sensual'. Her messy, upswept hair, the open neck of her shirt and her closed eyes are the key. Beautiful and sexy,
