I agree 100% with Paul up there- this IS your best work so far!!! Love it! The only things I can see that would make it better are to keep your entire hat in the photo and to blur the wrinkles on the bg. Otherwise- PERFECT!!! Excellent lighting technique. Very well done!

Thank you very much my friend. It was less than 1 year ago, on 10/23/05, that I posted about 6-8 cowboy shots. Don't make me older than I already am by 1 extra year... LMAO
I think, that I said I was camera shy and didn't let anyone take my photo. But I'm ok with me doing self’s, because I'm in control... ;) It's fun, but it's also a pain in the butt...
Don't send the polar bear, because PETA will be on me, like a bird on a June bug for being cruel to animals. Texas and Polar Bears don't mix... LOL

Martin this is the best. I remember your SP say 2 years back of you with a cool hat and a shot gun if I remember correctly. Sitting by a fireplace in your family room. I thought they were amazing. You said they were your 1st SP and you were afraid to be in front of the camera until then. No way my friend. Your SP's rock. You got great character, must be that stache of yours. Get in front of the camera more often.
BTW....I'm having a polar bear send via Canada Post. You should receive it by 2009. Regards Ron.

Thank you my old friend. The way I saw this capture in my minds eye, wasn't this, but I like it.
I forgot that I had 2 soft boxes on both sides of me in the front and the light would bounce off them... Dah... I like the silhouette, but I still had fill flash on my face and hands... Wild!!!
I liked the effect, so much I went with the look for all of the frames... ;)

Little brother, 1st of all you are too kind with your praise. 2nd of all I have missed you dearly, so where have you been?
Just messing around in the studio with the Bee's and after 6 frames I quit out of anger. ;(
I only used 1 strobe and fired it against the backdrop behind me, as to shadow my frame very hard. I'm so glad you like it bro...
