Arthur,

Well done! That's a great portrait, Arthur. These birds are something else. The ultimate hunter, they have been known to take Great Blue Herons and foxes, among other things. They are our most massive owl (The Great Gray is the largest) here in North America. These guys have been frequenting Mudd Lake for many years. I posted a picture of one of the babies from earlier this year.
