i saw that you did a similiar composition. Yes, the DOF is excellent. the photo is not lacking beauty. It's very nice actually. I have listened to critiques in my photo club for the past several years. A judge would ask what the subject is and mentioned cropping down. It's a lovely scene regardless.

I like the crop but I was more interested in the deep DOF with this photo. The lake wasnt calm enough for a reflection photo for me.

IMOP, there is more in this scene than necessary. the real beauty is in the mountain range and the reflections. the rest is not needed. i've cropped to show you what i mean. i hope you appreciate the criticism and you aren't insulted.
