Ashley - Thank you. I agree. The colors of this particular rose are so fragile, so subtle, that only this kind of background could compete without overpowering and bring out the colors properly. A very lucky find.

This is exceptional work. The concrete background is very original and the perfect backdrop to this rose. The contrast really helps to bring out the colours of the rose. Wonderful colour and detail. Very nice capture.

very 3-D look...simple but effective comp...perfect dof...nice contrast between rose color and BG...like the placement of rose within your framing and most of all,i love the gentle light...

James, although i don't like shooting flowers alot..but this one is soooo amazing ...and in my opinion placing the subject in one of the four corners of the photo makes the photo so SPECIAL...i just like throwing things at one of the corners!  + the contrast between pink and grey makes it more romantic.lol....well, good choice
