I think I could agree with Shirley, otherwise a grand pic.

You're welcome, Tim. Sorry, but the dark spot draws my eye and looks like a piece of 'dirt'.;) I do know about getting carried away with manipulations, though.:)

Thanks Shirley, Ali and Allen for your input and for all your supportive and helpful critiques. Much appreciated. Shirley the dark spot you mention...I actually added it in! It was on an exposed metal plate that I scanned and layered in to make a more interesting, distressed border. Hey but who am I kidding, it's digital manipulation. But I do like the look. I'm still in the process of experimenting with textures and toning, and I have to be careful about getting carried away and letting manipulations become an end in themselves. In this case I thought it added something to the image though, but I really do appreciate you pointing it out if it was distracting to you. Thanks again.

A wonderful surreal photo, Tim...I love it! On small 'nit'...the dark spot upper right needs to be removed...otherwise, perfect.:)
