About
My wife and I saw this female and couldn't figure out what it was about her coat that bothered us. When we saw the photo, we knew. Apparently, the heavy summer rains in the area grew a bumper crop of cockleburs last summer. She is very intent on catching a duck in this shot. I handheld for this shot as I chased along behind her trying to get a clear veiw through the reeds.
Dave: I don't know if they bothered her or not. She is one of the most red-colored coyotes I have ever seen, almost fox colored. There seems to be a lot of variation. Thanks again for your remarks.
Wow fred this is a great capture. The color and detail are up to your fine standards. I posted a shot for you the other day from the Raptor center. If you get time take a look. http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1225212 Bill
