To say the truth I am against using photoshop on images to the point where they loose their character and integrity. This picture is a good example. It is not a photograph anymore but a colage of many different images, layers and color enhancements. It looks too fake. As a photograph showing skills in photography it is worthless.

Hey Lius,
Congrats on the award... there's a nice idea here, but I'm afraid I don't think it's quite as good as people are saying. Or, it could at least be made a lot better.
First off, I think the colour is kind of overdone, which CAN work, except that there's a distinct haloing at the top of the treeline which smacks of sloppy digital manipulation. Also, the aforementioned trees themselves look totally flat - almost cardboard cut-out flat compared with the rest. If the contrast is going to be pumped up like this it should be more consistent throughout the image and certainly more hidden.
Looking at it more closely, there also seems to be some grey haloing at the back of the boat. I don't know if there's some netting or something there but the colour of the hypersaturated water isn't coming through it at all, and that also helps spoil the suspension of disbelief for me.
I don't mean to be negative, and I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds, but I kind of question the choice of this image as an SC (although I am happy for you) and find it odd that (almost) everybody's going along with it. It seems to me almost like an Emperor's New Clothes phenomenon. It's actually a little bit creepy.
Where's the critical analysis of images that this site is SUPPOSED to exist for? If I posted this and nobody pointed these flaws out to me I'd be pretty disappointed, but that's what seems to happen a lot.
Thoughts anybody? has nobody else noticed these issues?

well the color and reflection not that clear and vivid,i use selective color tools in photoshop to get more color..and level correction..and give some new color to for the reflection..
sorry my english is very bad..so i cant explain more.
