Hi Don. You bet they added a bonus. But let's say the truth : this park is just outside Montreal, on a island just about 20 min from downtown. It's a 30 min drive from home. Deers are almost piling up there. It's a problem 'cause they don't have natural predators, nor are hunted by man. They will not tolerate being approached closer to say 30 feet or so, but they don't really fear humans. So bring in your telephoto (I've got an AFS 300mm I bought used this fall) for a lot of fun. On this day, I was with my wife, back from visiting my daughter and had but the Panasonic DMC-LX1 with me. But I'm pretty happy with it. It can work in RAW mode at reasonable speed, and I like the wide 16:9 ratio.

Well, let's hope (if it's you wish) that the system will be on you before the 1st. Promise us that you will then post something conveying your vision of winter.

Well thank you for stopping by. Until snow starts to fall, Nature here looks pretty grim after the first colds have burned all the vegetation. It was beautiful indeed, but quite soaky as the temp was about 1 or 2 C (around 34-35 F). The snow was all wet and it was sticking to everything. You can see in my various shots the effect of the huge flakes caught in the air.

Oh, lucky you! Still no snow where I live. Just read in the newspaper that the beginning of icy winter is later than ... ever! If you consider the beginning to be the day when the Institute of Marine Research starts its daily info, that is. And it probably starts next year ...
Your composition is nice, taking the viewer across the snowy landscape. The deers are a lovely bonus. Beautiful!

Sounds like you were waiting for the snowfall to arrive for sometime. Beautiful image of the blanket of snow and the deers. I can imagine how beautiful it must be to go through this area.
Best wished for the Holidays and the New Year!
