Thanks Joggie, and congratulations on the great Christmas present you got yourself! I used the discontinued 70-300 ED for quite a while and was quite satisfied with it. All report are that the VR model is better yet! My present (from the wife) was a Canon Pro9000 printer. Consequently I have been experimenting, making custom profiles for printing on various papers and not spending time on usefilm. The photo of the blue heron I enlarged to 13x19 inches printed and framed. Amazing quality! I find no problem enlarging the D200 files but the D70s files do not hold up as well. Best wishes for a great year with your D200! Your images are superb and deserve the best!

Wonderful DOF with the fencing and the bird in perfect detail. Such great rich warm colors. I don't know what you did to this guy but he sure looks grouchy that you invaded his space. LOL

Ina, I feel very complimented about the comparison to a Bateman. Thanks! My printer will do 13x19, not quite Bateman size. I will give it a try now that you have inspired me.

Superb capture in both pictures, and superb definition, and DOF. The winter colors are perfect for setting up the blue feathers, it looks like a Bateman print (and that's a compliment) :) Cheers, Ina
