About This is a repost of an image taken when I first went digital. I have cropped some of the top & bottom and made selective curve, level & sharpening adjustments etc. The first post is how it looked straight from the camera. 3 stop ND grad + circ. polariser. Please tell me what you think in comparison to the first post. Cheers, Collin.

Thanks very much Reza. Do you live in Tehran? Its a beautiful city. Sunset at the mountains to the north(?) or at the Caspian Sea would be beautiful.
Regards,
Collin.

Extending from here to the depth, anything is in such a sharp focus, that this photo really absorbs the spectator with its endeless DoF. I am a little bit inclined towards this one here for the additional details of the foreground, though the other one also has its particular charms. This one lets one "see" everything - it amazes through the power of its DoF. The other one is more "mysterious", as it hides many details in a very particularly hued kind of darkness.

Have a nice weekend,

Nick

Thanks so much Rina.
I really appreciated you taking the time to offer advice. I had absolutely no idea about editing back then as I had just made the switch to digital. I have printed an 11X14 inch print and it looks great.
Regards,
Collin.

Amazing the detail you've pulled out of this Collin. The extra light makes a world of difference. I can tell you weren't heavy handed with the changes either, so the image remains realistic. That's a good thing. I dig the tighter crop too, removing some of the negative space at the bottom was an excellent decision. I was already blown away with what you got straight from the cam, but this... this is the print imo :)

Great stuff. Am glad you brought me back here. Thanks, your portfolio is a true delight to browse.

Cheers,
Rina.

I like the colours in this and the overall detail but prefer the fg detail of your previous shot.
