Peter, there are times when you have to correct distortion, but for general landscapes you shouldnt have to, i also think that sometimes converging angles looks ok on certain shots.

Oh i looked at www.topfoto-online.de, there it is only 469€, which is very acceptable .. i suppose this is the lens :

Hi Peter, thanks for the comment, as for the lens, i have had it for quite some time now, and i am finding myself using all the time, i love it, im using more than my canon 'L' lenses, & its half the price.
