Thanks Andre! I hope you have success! Bad weather, if not so bad you and camera can't stand it, can make for unique images. You are right in guessing it was not easy. However, it did come together and now also inspires me to try some more of this type. My photography is currently suspended and I will be travelling to Ontario in a few days - but not to photograph! When I return, I will redo this image in colour and also develop some new ones that have waited way too long.

Hi Eb,
This one caught my eye in the critiquer's corner down at the bottom on the front page.
I would just like to say how much I like the treatment of this time exposure mixed with the frost. The frost element really adds a lot to the image. I tried a few similar back in the fall (without frost)... so, I know this isn't as easy as one might think. I tried several different settings with fast water running over rocks, but was never completely happy with any of them. This one has inspired me to try again till I get it right. :)

nice image alright Eb..it almost resembles the Koday B&W Infrared up the top in the tree branches.. great exposure nice depth lucky you have some water to photograph

The soft stream entering the neat wood makes a feeling of depth. Capturing still and quiet natural atmosphere.

Dear Eb I agree with your approach about the net of friends that is made through the site it is however true that there are a sea of photographers and it is possible that alone east space it is not enough and that the ideas are limited perhaps.- However it is a space and with that coarse.-
In Canada exists the Toronto Camera Club (go to the site at the web...) and on the other hand there is a international circuit of photo exhibitions that they allow to be made know you
I advise to look for the page of WILLY SUYS, the chairman of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) , is an experience in which I have participated during almost thirty years.-
The photo fine art takes a lot of time and to be pending of Usefilm is more time, but it has been formed a great community and we achieve big friends, they leave creating groups of likeness.- I have visited all your gallery of landscapes and saw a great sensibility, near to the style of Ansel Adams, with the logical differences that exist since was one of the biggest photographer in the world with him zonal system.-
Dear Eb... today I believe that I put many words, but that it is the question, to create a big net of friends, and not only talk about photos, because photography is like the life, goes, and goes...always searching news and people...My cheers from Buenos Aires.- LUIS (sorry my english is not easy...but you understand me...?(hahahahaha).-

Thanks Luis! I am glad you appreciated my efforts. The greatest criteria on usefilm for photo appreciation is the social network. Otherwise, how is one to be known in this sea of photographers? This creates a dilemna for me because I would rather work on my photos than spend too much time networking on Usefilm. I am sure many photographers feel the same way.

Eb - This is one of your best composed pictures ever!! Seriously - I believe that it would have been just as great in color just due to setting, shutter speed and details. Great job.

I can't understand the members criteria this one is a superbe image, and at this time 4 visits...???? Iy's a great technique compostion with a LUXURY capture technique...Bravo my friend.LUIS
