About OK....so you all said it, the face on the hand etc. etc...well, meet Sheila.
Funny thing was, I began to fashion Sheila's likeness on my hand, and just as I put her mouth on...she started talking to me!! (I can feel that straight jacket again already Doyle!)
Poor Sheila, single and bemoaning the fact that there are never any decent men to be met. The one's she had dated recently were all hands and made her feel uncomfortable, so she palmed them off with some excuse about washing her hair or having to work early in the morning (Sheila is a manicurist) and ended the dates then and there.
She longed to meet someone to share her life with, but at twenty-five, she felt her time was running out.

****************************
Stay tuned for the next exciting installment of Sheila's search for the perfect partner.

Yes, I can feel a series coming on!!
Hope I get it finished before the men in white coats come and drag me away!!

Thanks so much Peter, I'm afraid for my public tho'....some people have taken and unhealthy interest in the life of Sheila, and have been following her story and search for her man a little too closely (don't worry Patrick, I won't mention you name), but I will pass on to Sheila your compliments,
cheers, Bek

Chandru, thanks so much for your very kind comment. I'm not too sure how many people would pay up for a shot of this little lady, but you never can tell I suppose! Perhaps someone with a hand fetish....
cheers, Bek

What can I say!!! What a brilliant picture. Fantastic idea, fantastic technique and of course colors.
Here is an advice - print and frame the picture, then sell it for a million bucks!:)

Hiya Gary, licking cane toads is my second love, after the camera!! Really is an under-rated passtime actually....
Thanks for the great comment and for taking the time to share Sheila's troubled life.
cheers, Bek

Ha ha ha, you've really got to stop kissing those cane toads, Bek. Muriel's Wedding may have met it's match. (The sharpness is amazing too).
Regards, Gary

LMAO....bek, I laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes....your creativity and imagination just blows me away some days...as fofr Sheila, well her story is sad, and I really feel for her...she seems like a very colourful girl, with lots to give....okay off to see where the story continues :)

No, see now Doyle, this is exactly the kind of woman Sheila is....subserviant! I think she's nuts personally, but that's just me.
She loves the idea of staying home and making turkey pot pie, fetching beers for her man and his mates, bringing his slippers and being a good wife. She craves to be THAT woman, and have THAT life (silly twit)....
Anyway, what can I do about it? She is who she is I suppose!
cheers, Bek

Doyle D. Chastain Doyle D. Chastain   {K:101119} 2/2/2007
Hmmmm . . . ok then.

Now - FIX ME A TURKEY POT PIE woman! Make sure the beer is open and cold when you bring it . . . and put on Survivor on the TV . . .

See . . . I just don't picture Sheila dealing with that attitude well . . . (sights set too high) LoL!!

But you're right . . . the palm readers are 'handy' for taking money . . . not much else. . . . and I did beg for another Series . . . no apologies there . . . I love them!!! :)

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Shirley...if you thought the toilet rolls were the bottom of the barrel, think again! But this is so much more fun!!
The tale of Sheila is continuing as we speak....stay tuned.
cheers and thanks so much, B xxx

Hey there Doyle, now, before I start....if you are going to blame anyone, blame the posse down at the station, this was all their idea, and yours if I remember rightly!!
Now, about Sheila, she is busy at the moment, just about to pop down to the fortune teller to see what her destiny holds....so I must away to try to talk her out of it...waste of money if you ask me.
cheers, Bek

p.s. Sheila can cook, she is very handy in the kithchen, so I don't think that is the problem....and you get used to the acetone smell after a while!

Doyle D. Chastain Doyle D. Chastain   {K:101119} 2/2/2007
Oh my Gosh!! Here it COMES!! HoooRay! Uhhhhh . . . I think I can help Shiela. First . . . well . . . she's already 25 so perhaps at her advanced age it should be obvious - even to her - that she's setting her sights too high! Hehehee. Manicurists can carry home some unique smells too . . . perhaps she can take up cooking? Hand tossed pizza dough is a plus to any discriminating man . . . not to mention it smells better than acetone! (Just a thought) . . .

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Far, far too much time Anne! I am making this up as I go along to a degree, so bare with me and Sheila as we try to bring a little sunshine into her life! LOL
Desperate Housewives would suffer terribly at the hands of such a crazy woman I'm sure...
cheers and thanks so much, Bek

Oh Patrick you poor darling, you have no idea what you're in for!
I did a series of images a while back (nothing like our dear Sheila) and it was fairly well received, some people wanted another series but nothing sprang to mind....until today!
The other day I posted a shot similar to this, but without the face, and the general consesus was to put a face on it and post again.
So I did...and then the imagination cogs, as rusty as they are, began turning. Either that or MY dinner was spiked!
So we begin the story of Sheila, stay tuned if you care to...or look away if it disturbs you too much, the choice is yours, but if nothing else...recognise the humour and extreme boredom of the photographer, perhaps Sheila's only true friend in the world. LOL
cheers and thanks for looking, Bek
