Whoa . . . that was YOU Jan? Did you see the running guy that was yelling something about needing a fag and needing one NOW?? Almost pushed me aside!
Anyway . . . if you can't beat 'em join 'em right? (Here's a toaster for the table). The bride will have to make due with a kiss on the cheek though . . . can't be having lipstick on me for the wife to evaluate (however innocent it is)! LoL!

Really Liz, it is ok, your safety is much more important. You can't control the weather!!!
It was quite an emotional day all around, with the two different camps at the church, those for, and those against....very tense.
But nothing was stopping that ceremony, come hell or high water (or ripped apart airports) they were gettin' hitched.

I am just sooooo sorry that our flight was cancelled and we couldn't be there, but the storm just ripped appart the airport!!!!! Seriously, it did...anyway....nice to know the nuptials went off wtihout a hitch :)

Sheila tried to slim down before the big day but to no avail. I suppose the weight gain can be attributed to her happy disposition, she has laid off the chocolate, but still consumes a fair amount of grog in her spare time...all those candlelight dinners, booze soaked picnics and poker nights wtith the girls haven't done her any favours tho'.
Arnold and Sheila asked me to thank you for the gift, a hand mixer was it? They said it was great, just what they needed.

Sorry I was late getting to the wedding but I was waylaid en-route by a guy asking me for a small loan so he could get to Cuba. In any event, although I missed the ceremony, at least I was able to see the lovely couple... although the bride appears to have put on a little weight since last I gazed upon her beautiful continence. Most uplifting (or is that Onie's line?).

Meg, am so glad you made it to see the nuptials, and your discreet entry into the church was appreciated too.
Sheila certainly was a sight to see, and I believe she was thinking of selling her gown on ebay, the wedding put a strain on their finances, and she won't be needing it again, I'm sure you understand.

Well you’ve got to hand it to them, they scrub up nicely. I quite filled up when Sheila stepped into the church looking so lovely, the sight of her brought tears to my eyes, it’s just as well I had my handkerchief handy. :)

Hey Mum, Sheila will be thrilled to read your lovely comment, although the white shoes were a request from her, as you will remeber Arnold was wearing them the first time they met. She has quite a thing for funky footwear.
The bra was custom made for Sheila, she is quite broad across the back and more than a little busty. I'm sure she will be happy to give you the number of the corsettier tho', you will of course have to wait until after the honeymoon, or if you are desperate you can look them up in the phonebook under 'Bodgy Bodies Beautified'.

Hi Shirley... are you aware that in the UK, 'fags' is slang for cigarettes? I travelled around the US for 6 months many years ago and discovered that meanings of words change a great deal across the pond! I once nearly got into big trouble in a bar in Tennessee when some truckers overheard me say to the friend I was travelling with 'Man, I could die for a fag right now...'. They were howling with laughter when I told them what it meant.

Now Patrick, you really need to get over this notion that Arnold is some bad-a** that is going to ruin Sheila's life. I mean really, he is just a guy, she is just a girl, they are in love, let it go o.k.?!!

You are right on both counts. Arnold did mention to Sheila a little idea he had about the time alone that they would soon be sharing, and asked if her wedding trosseau included her stormtrooper boots and the cat-o-nine tails from the back of her wardrobe.

That's all it takes, a stunning, cleavage showing gown... a fistfull of tulle... a spiffy suit and... WHITE RUNNERS!!! Good heavens, Sheila will have to put Arnold under the thumb about his wardrobe tastes... Then again, guessing this being the *big* night, he won't be in that gear for long...;)
