Thanks Zamrud for the comment. Kolkata , earlier known as Calcutta , is the host to one of the Worlds biggest book fair, its like an annual festival for book lovers and publishers.this man was just a visitor , and happned to be in front of my lens at that time.

Thanks Tim. I normally photogrpah people from a distance and In Kolkata many a times people will not allow you to photograph themselves, but in manu cases they will. I normally do not feel comfortable approaching people for photography and that why Im happy shooting nature scenes and landscapes.

In this image I was trying to photograph a person in the distance when this person came right in front and thats when I pressed the shutter. Actually I was using the motor drive option.

I love the cropping of this portrait the addition of the red creates even more visual excitement. Are you shooting these shots from afar? or do you ask permission first?....the thing is once the awareness of being photographed comes into play the mood has changed and not always with the spontaneous feel that you might have gotten before. A conundrum.
