About This shot comes from a hotspring on the Vermillion Lakes. To bad it is not hot enough to get into .... but it is hot enough not to freeze in -20C weather making for some interesting morning shots.

hi Tim. OMG..you are so incredibly talented ! Your paintings are as stunning as your photos ! You could easily sell both and have seperate galleries. I loved looking through your site. I'm envious of your gifts ! I love Colorado as well. I will move there, just when exactly is the question. Tired of the rat race here...lol. hugs

Ahhh nope, not selling my photos....i would not have the slightest Idea how to proceed with that really. Actually i use my photos to create paintings that I sell in galleries all over the place. The photos are kind of a fun thing for me as it gets me out of the house and wandering around lots.
here is my painting website address if you are interested:

As to Colorado i was born there in Manitou Springs. Right below Pikes Peak. my dad would always take me fossil hunting in the hills for days when i was small. Guess that is where i got the hankering for big spaces.

Hi Bea,

Thank you. I am always striving to improve and seem to be in transition right now as i am trying to learn the dynamics compositionally, of this new zoom lens.
It is good to see you back after your big move....wow what a change of scene. I lived there in the Broncs for a time when i was a kid.

Very nice shot of the sunlight coming through the mist, Tim! You've got some great b/w tones here, too.
Dave.
