Many many thanks for your lovely comment, my friend Ace!
I wish I would be able to capture more like this whenever I wanted to. But it seems that I have to get better in many aspects. And so I keep on learning and trying.
Best wishes and have a nice day,
Nick

This shot was meant to be only just as any other shot *was* meant to be *after* capturing it. Nothing more.
Destiny is... one of the infinite many particular solutions of the big equation of coincidence. ;-)
In other words, no universe can exist, in which causality as the main premise for destiny is strictly valid. Such a universe disappears instantly into nothing - you can calculate that with a simple four banger.
If such a causality were present we wouldn't be able to think, since our brain wouldn't work, and thus we wouldn't ask such questions. Actually we wouldn't even exist. Nothing would exist at all. The very fact of our existence is a complete and perfect proof of the non-strictly causal fundaments of the univesre in the sense of QM. And so, since there is no sharp distinction between cause and effect there is also no destiny.
And thus I enjoy the possibility of freedom of choise of what to capture - oh, I forgot! Freedom is also nonexistent in a causal universe. What a nice coincidence that the universe decided to be too crazy for being captured into the strict causal trap of destiny! ;-)

Thank you very much for the nice and detailed comment, and for the so generous rating, Sylvia!
The funny thing with this one is that I could have not shot it at all as well. When I was at that place for the first time I shot a similar one, but at that time of the day the background was still in sunlight. The backround is the surface of the water of the river Reuss that goes through Lucerne. Then I walked a bit along the river, looking for nice scenes and shooting more photos, and when I took the way back home I passed by the same place, though I didn't really have any intention to use the same way back. But as some time had passed, the river was now in the shadow of the hills but that tree in the foreground was still in sunlight, and so the leaves looked as if they were shining with much more intensity in front of the darker background. Thanks heavens I had one more photo available on film and so I used it to capture this scene.
So I think, perhaps it's good to make the same photo at many different times of the day - if possible at all of course.
Many thanks again and have a nice day,
Nick

Hi Nick, This photo jumped off the page at me!! I really like the composition, the strong lighting which enhances the vibrant colours and the perfect clarity of the leaves. The darker muted tones of the background are a wonderful foil to accent the beauty of the leaves 7+++++++++++ Sylvia
