About This is a tree trunk...I believe it is a banana tree but someone Please correct me if I am wrong...

I was attracted to the many wrinkles of this tree because it appears to be yielding like skin .
There is No bark....

I do hope that You like it.

Hi John, I always ..even in person and touching it ... was reminded of an elephants legs, or trunk or some part of an elephant..It was soo strange to have these tree trunks all around you like large animals !
Thanks for looking and commenting !

I promise You this IS a TREE Roger so there are many uses for tree's ... right ?
Maybe it needs to be cut down + weathered first ...but even as a living tree I would bet there are uses .
I am thinking now that altho I said there is no bark... I meant bark that I am familiar with. I am sure this tree trunk's skin is used for many things...

Thank You for your interest, and please correct me if I am wrong. I do hope this answers your question ?

Cheers,
Michele~

hey dear Michele, I do either have no time to do anything with my modest camera :) and I also do know that one day I would read my book :) ... that is the truth ... but I have not got enough time ... work, child, cooking, cleaning, ext., than I sit down in the evening on comp and I am on UF to relax and to enjoy in what do I love ... 24 hours is just not enough for me and I do not sleep enough cause of that, so very often very tired and ext.
And you do not have to thank me !!! :) I told you, I am happy finding you ... :)
ps: thanks cause you are thinking i write very good english :) ... hahhahahahah , now I thank you!!
Hugs my dear !!!
Srna

Hello my dear Srna ! You flatter me ... my friend. I do enjoy your support very much but I am still learning , and only 2 months with the SLR NikonD40 choosing my own settings... I know I will catch on one day with-out a book to refer to ) and I will then feel more confident. I have always loved photography but in too much of a hurry to learn manually until now .
Your time and enthusiastism means more than you might know !!
Again dear Srna , Thank YOU, and Warm Huugsss!
michele~
ps. you write very good english also !!

AHHHHHHHHH!!!!! "I was where I wasn't supposed to be tho . . . {like all good photographers are}!!

I am SO proud of you . . . First . . . ahem . . . I mean . . . the badge on my chest tells me to remind you that you need to obey all local laws and ordinances . . . which are there for your safety and the safety of others. Uhhhhh . . . but the inability to be a hippocrite tells me "You go girl!" . . . Also glad to see that you now seem to realize that you are a good photographer!!!

By the way this IS a trunk. An elephant trunk. That was my first impression and I'm sticking with it! Good texture and abstract enough people can see it for what it is as well as for what they want to see! Wait a minute . . . It's Jabba the Hut's chin??? LoL!

Nicely done!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~~

I love this one, Michele. It has an unusual texture and really does look like skin; maybe the chest and chin of one of those weird monsters that you see in the sci fi movies! Excellent vision and capture. The tight crop in the vertical is definitely the way to go.
--Best to you, Jan

This is very well exposed Abstracts and of very great sharpness and orginal contrast and tone, simple yet very much different than what we been used to view here, great job my friend to see and post images that not every one can see, stop and photograph.

Thank you for sharing this image with us

Wishing you all of the best my friend

Recently I seem to prefer horizontal images verses/vertical so here is the horizontal image ... altho I think the color may be a bit different.
I was where I wasn't supposed to be tho ...

{like all good photographers are}
and the light was shaded more so on this image here.
