I also have a very special rose…

It’s one I bought for the first cat I was owned by when he went to cat heaven. He was the best and most loyal friend anyone could have and it broke my heart when he died on the 22nd June 2004.
Each year since this special rose has bloomed for the first time on… 22nd June. Like the title of the image says…Forever in my heart!

I worked with them for fifteen years... We shared each others ups and downs, we laughed 'til we hurt and cried 'til we hurt... The normal happenings of everyday life... :)
They are indeed very special friends... and every time that rose blooms, I know they are there if I need them... :)))

I am really flattered Srna:))), however, the truly great macro photographers, of which there are many here at UF, I bow my head to them... As I also do, to those of you who do brilliant portraits and landscapes...:)))

:))) This is a beautiful rose Meg... More so, because it was a gift from my workmates when my husband became ill... Because we were three hours away for months on end, they made up a roster and looked after our garden... :)))

The core of the rose looks like a piece of jewelry to me, while the petals...like so many veils trying to protect it.It seems to say:"The show off is for your eyes only"!(It makes me think of Georgia O'Keefe's flowers and the more than sensual touch in them).The temptress is still young, or so the colours say!
