Dear Joey Thank you so much for your good advice! Cloning the sky sounds like a very good idea in this case, something that I didnīt think of myself. It is a pleasure getting good advice and new ideas how to make a photo better. I must learn to use PS some more. Best wishes Annemette

I believe its caused by a natural lighting inbalance in the clouds where the cloud density is not as thick so more light filters through in those areas of the pic and bleaches out those areas. Theres really not much you can do because if you meter the f-stop to that area it will darken considerably the subject matter in the foreground (beer bottle & lake). About the only things I can think of to adjust the shot would be to bring more foreground into the shot lessening the amount sky, crop some of the top of the shot off (which would change the really nice framing of the shot that you have done) or paste some darker clouds from another pic into the areas that are bleached. Aha I see what you mean. As far as I remember I didnīt add contrast though, so what should I have done? Maybe decreased the exp.light somewhat on the camera? Thank you very much for commenting, Joey:-)

Dear Luis The horizon is actually not completely in the middle, but I know what you mean. Iīll keep a closer look for this another time. The trees ..hm maybe youīre right- I canīt really decide what I think;-) Flashlight...I honestly have forgotten because I took more photos from other angles, and I had my big dog, little daughter and my husband around me and it was raining also:-) Funny how this photo makes a lot of sense to some and none to others. It only proves once again that we have to do what we care for because we canīt please all. Take care Annemette

Its a very nice shot annamette! but the only thing that detracts from the pic somewhat is the lack of contrast in the clouds. Instead of blending into the pic the harsh white area towards the top almost becomes a secondary focal point. Otherwise I love the shot! Joey

Annemette, You shot is one of great detail! I love the use of the tree branches to frame up the shot. Awesome focus on your subject...with enough detail in the BG to give some interest in the shot. To me the people who polute need a good smack across the face and then placed into a garbage bin themselves.
Anyhow, Fantastic shot and presentation.
My Best Regards
Sam III

My dearest friend Annemette...I'm so sorry not for me...the horizon is in the center of the image :( Two pieces of tree in each border...I mean they are disociated and a question...Did you use flash ligth for the beerbottle? I saw better works than this...I'm honesty.- Warmest hugs.- LUIS

This is magnificent, Annemette. If I saw this in a book of fine art photography I would assume it was by one of the great photographers... it is that good in my opinion. I would say that I'm absolutely amazed nobody else has commented on this, but I'm not really... you know what I'm talking about! One of your absolute best photographs and a favourite of mine....
