About Well, I just found these prints. I took them (they were hanging on the wall. Sorry I don't know who the original Photographer of the portrait was) on a visit to Mani Bhavan House in Bombay (Mumbai) on my first trip to India. When Mahatman Gandhi was in Bombay this is where he'd stay, at Mani Bhavan House (see previous photo of his room). What an HONOR to be in the same room that this GREAT MAN lived in. Please read his letter, it is completely moving and amazing. If only our so called leaders of today had 1/100 percent of the brilliance and humanity M Gandhi had this would be a wonderful world full of peace and understanding - loving our neighbors, not bombing them...THERE IS NO OTHER WAY - Gandhi spoke the truth - may we all learn from him !!

I do feel ashamed for not viewing this post earlier.

I greatly appreciate your view of calling the spade a spade. Not because I am Indian but simply because the entire post vociferously professes the words and message of humanity.

Accept my deepest regards dear friend.

A great attestation of humanity and brotherhood. Even if we have different characters, cultural education etc. We always are on the same boat: the world, the life. Sometimes we forgive this.:-(

That's a very good analogy, Fadel. The idea that the US is a wholly innocent victim in this day and age is either pitifully naive or dangerously ignorant. The sight of the stars and stripes (and their several proxies) have produced shudders of fear among innocent and helpless people long before the present situation. Their experiences and stories simply don't get heard in the USA, except by the few noncomformists who bother to seek them out. That's why Mark's image is so poignant and profound: the message needs to be understood EQUALLY by both sides.
Regards, Gary

Darryl, you obviously have no clue about history, I suggest you do some reading about real history before putting the blame on anyone. Those who strap bombs to their bodies are like the steam coming out of the water when you boil it!

It would be wonderful if the bombs could stop being dropped, canons melted into railroad tracks, and bullet manufacturers go out of business for lack of demand. The world can not achieve this until those that strap bombs to their bodies and blow up others, fly planes into buildings, and try to force their beliefs on others stops. No where in history has this ever been the case. It seems that there is always someone that believes that they have a better life for you and me. Mr. Gandhi set a great example but as seen in history there is always someone willing to use force to achieve their goals.
I enjoyed your documentary photo. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Darryl
