hi, i just read your forum query and came here to see your ratings....i have not a clue as to how the system configures ratings,but have noticed that when i give a 7,it does lower the overall rating...i do know that the new system doesn't allow anyone to give ratings without a comment which is a good thing considering the rampant drive-by low-ball ratings a year or two ago which caused much turmoil resulting in some members leaving...this is my 4th year here and i switched to critique only fairly quickly after deciding that the ratings were not as valuable as someone writing an in-depth critique,or at least letting me know what they liked/disliked about my work...
also,this is an international community and it is possible that some don't comprehend the rating system...

That someone would do that doesn't make any sense to me. Why? What would they have to gain?Considering the circumstances, maybe dropping the ratings would be a good idea. I would hate to see you leave. I enjoy seeing your find images.

Joe I am having alot of trouble here with someone...I don't know who ...I think I am going to drop the ratings or maybe just quit the site altogether. Thanks for your and of course Nicole's fine comments, and other people who are kind enough to stop by. You are the ones I put the pictures in for...Thanks...Rich

I can't believe this rating! I gave it a 7, Nicole said 7/7 and majid said he found the colours and composition excellent yet after the 3 of us have rated the image the rating is only 5.33! Doesn't add up! It's like 2 of us gave it a 7 the third would have had to rate it a 2!
