Yes, Olga Melissa, since motion, represented as multiple positions of the "i", needs time. But no reflection has been used. It is a triple exposure. One of the frames was the sequence of "i's", which was displayed somewhere in the railway station of Lucerne.
Thanks a lot for the nice comment,
Nick

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Andre!
Clocks play a big role in many of my photos of this kind.

So, in a strange way, it is not the markers themselves, but the markers *together* with the orientation of the clock that tell the time.
An example of fotografically induced orientation anisotropy of time ;-)

I like this Space and Time theme Nick. The series with the clocks is very attractive. Andre

Hehe. Yeah, the hour markers are all the same. Can't tell one from another.

Thanks a lot James.
If you mean the time to think and shoot several different triple shots, then yes. I was there for about an hour having ideas and trying to get what I want.
But if you mean the "real time" between the single frames of the triple exposure, then it wasn't really much time. The time difference between the two clocks is only some 30 seconds. The clock near the bottom is only taken with a clockwise rotation of about 30°. Rotate it mentally 30° counterclockwise and you almost have the time of the upper clock.
Oh well, it seems that rotating 12fold-symmetric clocks clockwise and counterclockwise can lead to a photographic time travel! ;-)
Nick
P.S.: Let's be grateful to the swiss rails that preferred such clocks in the stations! :-)

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Fabrice!
I only "saw" that in my mind, since it didn't existed as a scene in reality - whatever that might be. I tried to make that picture in my mind using the triple exposure and in this case it worked well enough for me.
Best wishes,
Nick
