This is a great fireworks shot. I have tried a number of times with no luck at all. Yours has great shape and colour.

Thanks Mehul. Just a learner and first time at fireworks so just set my Fuji F30 on the Fireworks setting and let fly. Will post another I'm quite pleased with shortly.

Superb detail for a hand-held capture. While I somewhat agree with the expressed view that capture of the whole burst might make the image stronger, this is very nicely framed , and the image stands up well as is. You anticipated well where the burst would be and timed the shot just right.

Thank's for that Diane. I appreciate the feedback. I havent cropped it at all myself. Thats the original shot as I took it, just obviously zoomed in a bit too much. Roll on the next Display and I'll have another go.

Ok, so generally and overall I love this image. I love the fact that you can see the smoke and the detail in it. Like the DOF and detail in the flare itself. Only big problem for me is that it is too tightly cropped at the top and bottom.
