About A short series about Meiringen (CH) in summer begins with this one. Most of the time it is the many waterfalls that are captured around that nice village in the Alps. But there is much more to see and capture.

This one is a tele of which I think that it has many problems (overexposure on some regions, composition, etc), but still is gives me something that makes me wanting to post it.

Any comments/critiques/ideas woul be very welcome.

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Ahmed!

And don't make the mistake to believe in such romantic things like "living there in nature" and so on. A tourist might have a good time there, but living at such a place is simply deadly boring in Switzerland. You just have to do with trees, flatminded farmers and cows everyday. No idyllic life and above all not a trace of any mental activity whatsoever. I know more than enough young people that went away and would never return there. ;-)

And what about the photo itself? Any critiques, opinions, suggestions?

Best wishes,

Nick

I like your composition, Nick, I think it's just the exposure that needs some work!

How nice it would be to live in a place like this, with all the beautiful trees around. Nice shot!

Oops, my home is floating away! ;-)

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Andras!

But please, if you have the time/will, tell me something more about the minor flaws, about whom I think they are major!

Cheers,

Nick

At first glance I thought it is a river indeed :) Then I saw the house and realised it is not :)
Nice composition with some minor errors - but I think it is worth showing. Nice work!
Regards
Andras
