While sharpening is a matter of taste, oversharpening is noticeable when there are distinct sharpening artifacts such as halos. I have noticed that some people accept sharpening halos as mormal when viewing on a monitor while they would be less likely to see it as normal on a print. The sharpening is fine on the protrait, 'though you could selectively sharpen the skin tones to a lesser degree. Eb

Thanks Ed, I need to update my information. I've begun more frequent use of PS. Contrast/Saturation/sharpening/etc. See the photo of my son about 2 doors down for example, there's a lot (probably excessive) sharpening in that one. I've had some people complain, but I actually prefer it in some instances. I haven't heard anyone explain why over sharpening is wrong, just that it isn't their preference. I appreciate your stopping by to browse. Christopher

Very pleasant and effective pose, Christopher. In your bio you state that you are not doing post processing. Here is an example where shooting RAW and post processing would make a very good photo simply outstanding! Eb
