A lovely colourful shot. For me, the background is a little distracting - I'd prefer something more attractive (or blurred!). But pretty nice all the same...

It's true so hard to see the kites lines...and soo many everywhere, competing and 'NOT competeting'...and people learning so that some just dive straight down as they are practicing special movements to music ...haha!!! It is Fun...I am just waiting for the next rain to fall and think it will clear up after this ..I hope , I hope:))

...hmmmmm let see, I don't think so, however I also don't think I could do that...hahaha I can easily hit badly! :-D lol....however I think that is a great subject if you could put a cart with these into the same frame...even you collage - stich two photos togather, think about it!

Yes these are new shapes of Kites for me too.... They do fly but never did get too high off the ground altho the winds were not very strong for once :))

Thank YOU for the great commnet John... Kites are for FUN- to fly them in the air is a sport here on the Oregon coast , actually all over the world... BUT these really BIG ones.... sometimes it is too windy or not windy enough for them to fly.... these 2 with the holes in the middle seem to fly alright but not soo high in the air... I am not as familiar with these. during a festival music is played and kite flyers fly their kites to music ...It is a great show and it is international as well.... I am glad you like them ... I have lots of images.. I will add another for you to view .

That is amazing, not only the colors, the object itself it is so unique, wow I'm really interesting to know what really these things do... kites...I don't get that word...even I translate it in a program... that reminds me parachutes but what on earth do there a soooooo big hole? so perchaps these are something other than parachutes...so I don't care, they are nice even there looks like useless! :-D kidding ofcaurse, the photo of unusual things are GREAT...and I also want to find some unusual things...
