No, it's a cheap 'G' lens. I'm shooting at 1/1250 so shake isn't a problem.

Your whole surfing series is fantastic! I am glad you are giving Digital a try as they look excellent here on Usefilm. Are you using the lens with VR for these shots?

I was about 25 ft. away, with my feet just in the water. These guys skim really close to the shore in just a few inches of water.

This is an amazing capture! Was this taken from the shore? Looks like a killer fan of water behind him. Is this the original image or was it cropped down? I would love to see the top of that wall of water he created. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your nice comments. I'm going to have to change the 'film and darkroom' part of my profile. It's been about a year since I went the chemical route. I just bought a film scanner for my negatives, and I've just about given up on using my darkroom. I'm trying to translate 20 years of printing experience into Photoshop skills.

Was just reading your profile and note that you shoot mainly film and develop in your own darkroom. Have been an admirer of yours since I joined UF in 2004. Love Laguna -- nice place to work and reside. May just pay you a visit someday.
