Added a bit of sepia tone for the vintage look. A few days after I took this photo, this aircraft was placed in an aviation museum, I believe in Ottawa. Photo was taken at Dryden Regional Airport, where I work in the weather office. This plane was part of the Ray Ban Gold Acrobatic team. ALtho this was taken in Sept of 2002, I\'ve seen her last, about 20 years ago, in a Kamloops BC airshow. This aircraft stopped in Dryden for fuel, and film some fly bys to be aired on TV.
Gary: Actually, this plane is black, with gold stripes/lettering, so, really, not much point in leaving this in colour. I just thought, with the type of aircraft, that sepia tone would give it that little extra to give us the feeling of this being a vintage photo. But I do have colour shots of her, flying and on the ground.
I've seen many of these at various air shows and still love them. Knowing how they paint them I'm surprised you didn't leave it in color. Nice composition and presentation.
