About As heavy rains pound the mesas in the background on the Pueblo of Acoma, this arroyo turns from dry to a torrent. Not something I've seen much of.

Thank you kindly, Shirley. Wasn't sure about the muddy water and the low light.

Thanks, John... yup, that water was an ugly brown, muddy color and when shooting it, I wondered if it would even turn out okay... Kind of different than the blue water you see elsewhere.

Best wishes,
Dave

Right on, Dave!

It looks like night, which is why I asked you what time it was made. I guess 17 minutes after actual sunset (you are so precise...), is almost night, or rather, early evening, but yes, this does seem to be NIGHT NIGHT!

I love the way the water looks, owing to the very long exposure... It is as if "still"... wonderful!!!

I'm also pleased you didn't have to stand around in the rain to get this one :)

Hugs~
Ani :)

WOW!!! Excellent shot Dave, the long exposure on the ...'dusty' water gives a very unique effect, original, excellent landscape, perfect quality and even long exposure everything looks great!!! Amazing image!
To my favorites because it is original for landscape, and a very good too!!!

Thanks you, Ani... and to answer your question, it was 17 minutes after actual sunset but because of a huge storm to the west, it might as well have been night... I almost put this in my night shots portfolio.

I don't get to do a lot of long exposure flowing water pics in my area... so I was thrilled to get this without standing out in the rain.

Hugs,
Dave

WOW Dave!

Kinda spooky and yet incredibly beautiful in what feels like an "un-natural" way.... Hmmm... That didn't sound as though it made sense, but you know I "speka no Enkleash, eh?" :)

What on earth time was this shot made? 10 second exposure?

You are very clever with a keen eye and dedication, Danger Man, Captian Midnight, Dave... my beautiful friend... (by any other name)... "Hey, YOU!"

I find this shot to be terrific. and I am NOT just saying so because I Love you and you rock! OK? OK!

Hugs~
Ani :)
