As suggested, Erwin, I am attaching my version for you.
My compliments to Kiley. It does not surprise me that she is a Ford model. She's got those eyes!!! And I learned from Italian photographers, whose work I have always admired, if you want to say it best, say it with your eyes.
Regards, Bill

Bill, thank you for your comment. Kiley Hodgson is a Ford model from TO. As it happens, she is a best friend, she is 5'10.
The cougar has been a family pet for about 16yrs. We raised her, bottle fed her etc... My brother was just outside of the frame, but honestly, we was there to keep her from taking off, not from taking a chunk out of the model.
As of this morning I drastically cleaned up this site by deleting half my images. you would have liked a lot of what I took down.
feel free to post your edit.... I have since done an edit on it myself.
cheers erwin

Very impressive image, Ervin...I think I would have included a caution tag..."do not try this at home."
If I were going to do a photo like this, my first instinct would be to increase my liability insurance by millions, in fact, the agencies would demand it. I would want to see the trainer or wrangler on set just outside of my framing.
Stunning model and awesome fashion accessory...obviously, the cougar...certainly way beyond the scope of most props.
I don't often right click on images, but I found this one compelling. I was interested in seeing a softer background and foreground, and some saturation change without affecting the overall exposure...to create a little more intimacy and a focus on the model's intense eyes. I cropped tighter and used the Gaussian blur in PS to give it a more telephoto effect behind her.
Don't get me wrong...this is an awesome image and a striking design with the triangulation of the rocks and the subjects. I think the location is very interesting...maybe just a little softer and cropped tighter for a dynamic editorial fashion or portrait approach. It would do very well in those categories.
One question about the model, is she 5' 10"? And how far are you from Toronto? You have an excellent portfolio.
Regards, Bill
PS I don't post attachments without permission.

Unusual and interesting shot Erwin! I like the similar pose but the different look of Kiley and the cougar! Impressive! Ale

AP

Hi Erwin - this is an amazing picture - the best composition between model and animal - this is a 7++++ - the colors are superb, the only thing I would like to see is the model in total (the whole boot) but nevertheless this is beautiful - excellent work.

Glad to hear it, Erwin. No, never heard of those commercials, but I live in Oregon. How wonderful to have a pet mountain lion.:)

this cougar was raised by my family. it used to be our house pet. You may or may not remember the Labbat Wildcat Beer commercials it was in about 10yrs ago. She is not drugged, and is perfectly tame. this was the first time Kiley had ever met her.

She definitely looks more scary than the Cougar. They do look like pals. Nice portrait. Looking at the pic, i see lot of pixelation, which may be due to the fact that you might have uploaded a pic larger than the limit of 850 x 850 pixels.
I also feel that it's better not to crop off the model's leg. Instead you may choose to crop the empty space to her right side and at the top.
