About It is tempting to leave this image unexplained! As in earlier posting, this specimen is partially restrained in a spider's web. At this point it was fluttering frantically to escape. I would like to believe that this is what it looks like as the dragonfly is about to seize its prey. Taken with a 300mm lens and closeup diopter, Canon 500D. Spider web filaments covering the head area were removed in photoshop.

Thanks Pat! This shot was handheld and no flash used - although some fill could have helped. Too bad this lens does not have VR!
