Brian,
This is IMO a very very std photo somewhat nearing dull. Sorry for the strong comments however I feel many critiques here on this site are far too inclined to type notes to make people happy. I've spent many hours recently photographing oli seed rape and wait only for great skys or dramatic sunsets. Having shot 2 films none of my photos are worthy of submitting (IMO) due to the lack of main focus. Your shot has no main focus. You need a lonely tree, a leading fence line or something of this nature to lift the photo from it's current std level. The slither of land on the horizon does make the overall shot somewhat abstrat however you've taken a landscape shot and it needs to have merits of that nature to really become beautiful. The ratings of 7 are overly inflated, I'd give this only 3 or 4 in most areas.
