Just remember sloppy and slouchy are very different..the latter is usually more appealing :)

I like the abstractness of the background here, Larry, making your shot very distinct from the usual sunflower shots.

Here is the original RAW image with no changes, the pedal on lower flower is bent and leaves a harsh edge, the strong background light may be overkill on the flower details especially on the two that are not sharp to begin with.

Must be getting nailed for sloppy work on the lower left, which when shown here does look jagged, when I do work in photoshop I don't pick that up but then again I work with a much smaller picture. This site exposes mistakes. But no I didn't pluck the flowers, just plucked up. I'll post the original shot in the comments section.
